El inglés mancuniano (código de proyecto en_manc) comprende los acentos y dialectos de Manchester y de buena parte de la conurbación circundante del Gran Manchester, en el noroeste de Inglaterra. Pertenece al área dialectal del norte de Inglaterra y normalmente carece de la división FOOT–STRUT, mientras que las palabras de BATH suelen conservar la vocal breve de TRAP. Entre sus rasgos distintivos pero variables figuran una vocal final relativamente relajada o baja en las palabras happY, sobre todo en el habla obrera, y el «velar nasal plus», por el que /ɡ/ puede conservarse tras /ŋ/ en palabras como singer o en -ng final. Las vocales FACE y GOAT, la entonación, el vocabulario y la gramática varían según el barrio, la clase social, el grupo étnico y la generación. Por ello, no es un único acento fijo: la nivelación dialectal regional está cambiando algunos rasgos, mientras que otros siguen siendo fuertes marcadores de identidad local; la escritura formal sigue las convenciones del inglés británico estándar.
