O inglês mancuniano (código de projeto en_manc) abrange os sotaques e dialetos de Manchester e de grande parte da conurbação circundante da Grande Manchester, no noroeste da Inglaterra. Pertence à área dialetal do norte da Inglaterra e geralmente não apresenta a divisão FOOT–STRUT, enquanto as palavras de BATH costumam preservar a vogal curta de TRAP. Entre os traços distintivos, mas variáveis, estão uma vogal final relativamente relaxada ou baixa nas palavras happY, sobretudo na fala da classe trabalhadora, e o «velar nasal plus», pelo qual /ɡ/ pode ser preservado após /ŋ/ em palavras como singer ou em -ng final. As vogais FACE e GOAT, a entonação, o vocabulário e a gramática variam segundo o bairro, a classe social, o grupo étnico e a geração. Portanto, não é um único sotaque fixo: o nivelamento dialetal regional está mudando algumas características, enquanto outras continuam fortes marcadores da identidade local; a escrita formal segue as convenções do inglês britânico padrão.
