Wa (Vāx) is the largest Palaungic language and the dominant language of the de facto independent Wa State in Myanmar. Non-tonal (unusual for the region), with rich consonant clusters and glottal-stop final syllables. Closely related to Lawa, De’ang, and Bulang.
