General American (GA) is the most widely spoken accent of American English and the de-facto broadcast standard across much of the United States (~230M native speakers). Unlike the British RP reflected in the base English entry, GA is rhotic — r is pronounced in all positions (water, father, heart) — uses a flapped [ɾ] for intervocalic t/d (water, butter), and for most speakers merges the cot–caught vowels.
